Frequently asked questions

How does the 7-day free trial work?

When you subscribe to any plan for the first time, the first 7 days are free. You won't be charged until day 8. You can cancel any time during the trial from Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone and you won't be billed.

How do I cancel my subscription?

NoorPause subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us. To cancel:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone
  2. Tap your name at the top → Subscriptions
  3. Find NoorPause and tap Cancel Subscription

You'll keep access until the end of your current billing period.

I subscribed but the app still shows the paywall.

Tap Restore Purchases on the paywall screen. This re-checks your Apple ID for active subscriptions and unlocks the app. If that doesn't work, make sure you're signed in to the same Apple ID that made the purchase, then email us.

How does Family mode work?

With a Family subscription, a parent account can link child accounts. Parents can assign pauses to their children and see each child's progress from the family dashboard. Children get their own account and receive their own notifications. Children inherit the subscription from the parent — they don't need to pay separately.

I'm not getting notifications.

Make sure notifications are enabled for NoorPause:

  1. Open Settings → Notifications → NoorPause
  2. Turn on Allow Notifications
  3. Make sure Lock Screen, Notification Center, and Banners are all enabled

Also confirm that Focus modes (Do Not Disturb, Sleep, etc.) aren't silencing NoorPause during the time you scheduled a pause.

What's the Daily Recap notification for?

Once a day at the time you choose, NoorPause sends a gentle reminder to open the app and see how your family (or you, if you're on Solo) did that day — completed pauses, streaks, emergency unlocks, and per-child progress. Tap the notification to open the live dashboard inside the app, which always shows up-to-the-second numbers. You can change the recap time, or turn it off entirely, from Settings → Daily Breakdown Report.

How do I delete my account?

Inside the app: Settings → scroll to the bottom → Delete Account. This removes your data within 30 days. You can also email us at support@imanlock.com to request immediate deletion.

Can I use NoorPause without a subscription?

A subscription is required to use NoorPause. We offer a 7-day free trial so you can try the full app before committing. We chose to keep NoorPause subscription-only so we can keep building the app, keep your data private, and never have to rely on ads.

What devices does NoorPause work on?

NoorPause is currently available on iPhone running iOS 16 or later. iPad and Android support are on the roadmap.

Are the verses and hadiths authentic?

Yes. All Quranic verses use authentic public-domain English translations (Sahih International, Mohsin Khan). Hadiths are sourced from the major authenticated collections (Bukhari, Muslim, etc.) with attribution. If you spot an error, please email us — we take this seriously.
