If you are eligible for the introductory offer — generally, your first NoorPause subscription; the paywall always shows whether the trial applies to you before you confirm — the first 7 days are free and you won't be charged until day 8. You can cancel any time during the trial from Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone and you won't be billed.
NoorPause subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us. To cancel:
You'll keep access until the end of your current billing period.
Tap Restore Purchases on the paywall screen. This re-checks your Apple ID for active subscriptions and unlocks the app. If that doesn't work, make sure you're signed in to the same Apple ID that made the purchase, then email us.
With a Family subscription, a parent account can link child accounts. Parents can assign pauses and a daily Qur'an reading goal to their children and see each child's progress from the family dashboard. Children get their own account and receive their own notifications. Children inherit the subscription from the parent — they don't need to pay separately.
From your parent dashboard, tap "New" in Pause Schedules and choose "Qur'an Reading Goal" — or touch and hold your child's row — then pick the daily minutes. Until your child has read that much in a day, their play button opens the Qur'an with a small counter; once they finish, their apps unlock as usual. Reading done earlier in the day counts, you can change or turn the goal off anytime, and the Emergency Unlock is never blocked by it.
In the app: Settings → Help → Learn How to Do Things. It has short guides for every feature — creating schedules, linking a child, assigning Qur'an time, the halal scanner, the Qur'an reader tools, and more — in English and Arabic.
Make sure notifications are enabled for NoorPause:
Also confirm that Focus modes (Do Not Disturb, Sleep, etc.) aren't silencing NoorPause during the time you scheduled a pause.
Once a day at the time you choose, NoorPause sends a gentle reminder to open the app and see how your family (or you, if you're on Solo) did that day — completed pauses, streaks, emergency unlocks, and per-child progress. Tap the notification to open the live dashboard inside the app, which always shows up-to-the-second numbers. You can change the recap time, or turn it off entirely, from Settings → Daily Breakdown Report.
Inside the app: Settings → scroll to the bottom → Delete Account. This immediately disables your sign-in and removes your identifying information and the free text you have written, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can also email us at support@imanlock.com with any deletion request.
Yes — the Qur'an reader, prayer times (with the Qibla compass), and the adhkar library with its misbaha counter are free, and you can even use them without creating an account. A subscription unlocks everything else: mindful pauses and app blocking, the reading timer and Qur'an goals, Family mode, the Halal Scanner, custom adhkar, learning, and performance insights. New subscribers get a 7-day free trial, and we never rely on ads.
NoorPause is available on iPhone and iPad running iOS 16 or later. Android support is on the roadmap.
We take authenticity seriously. The Qur'an appears in the authentic Uthmani script of the Madinah Mushaf (King Fahd Glorious Qur'an Printing Complex), with the public-domain English translation of Marmaduke Pickthall and the Arabic tafsir al-Tafsir al-Muyassar. Hadiths are sourced from the major authenticated collections (Bukhari, Muslim, Tirmidhi and others) with attribution, and full credits appear in the app under Settings → Credits & Sources. Translations, gradings, and explanatory material are human works, so errors are always possible — if you spot one, email us and we will correct it. See our Terms of Use, section 6, for how religious content should be relied on.
Photograph a food ingredient label from the scanner button on your dashboard. The photo is transcribed by AI, and every recognized ingredient is checked against our database compiled from published halal-certifier guidance. You get one of three honest answers per ingredient — halal, haram, or doubtful — and ingredients we don't recognize are marked "not in database" rather than guessed. Results are guidance, not a fatwa. We did our best to verify every ruling against published certifier references, but mistakes are possible — always double-check anything that matters to you, starting with a trusted halal certification mark on the product. Photos are processed transiently and never stored.
Each account can run 15 scans per day. Every scan performs real AI processing, and the limit keeps the feature fast and fair for everyone. The counter resets daily.
